Long-Form Video

I’ve worked on over one hundred long-form video pieces including series and explainers. Below are a few selected pieces that have performed well and showcase my work as a producer, writer, editor and host. You can see more examples of my long-form content here.

Worked on a shocking story about how ultra-processed foods are responsible for a lot of health issues in America. I edited this video and directed the host, Wisecrack's Alec Opperman, a frequent collaborator.

I developed WTFAQs closely with the creator, the motion graphics team and senior level staff involved with the project. I also conceptualized the set with a designer and directed the host. WTFAQs was one of my favorite projects at NowThis and I was so happy with the result. I directed and assistant edited this piece.

My love letter to the Pokémon franchise. I wrote and hosted this video about my favorite game in the series for NowThis Nerd, a pop-culture vertical I helped launch at NowThis in 2017.

I wrote and produced this explainer on deep fakes years before they became the security threat they are today. I tried to warn you! This piece was part of a ConTECHtual, a series I co-created, wrote and hosted for three seasons.

One of the more fascinating pieces I was able to work on, I edited this breakdown of the inhumane conditions contestants on Netflix's Love Is Blind were exposed to and how two former cast members intend to unionize all reality tv contestants.

How To Kill was one of our most successful series on NowThis Nerd, so much so that we turned it into partnered content at one point. This is one of my favorites we did and was fortunate enough to host. It was one of our top performers and garnered over 2 million views on YouTube alone.

Short-Form Video

In my career I’ve worked on thousands of short-form videos, mostly made for Facebook while working at NowThis and TikTok for NYT Wirecutter. Below are a few handpicked pieces that performed well or showcase my abilities as an on-screen host. You can see more examples of my short-form content here.

I conducted an interview with Bill Nye the Science Guy (a childhood dream of mine) that we then turned into a series of videos. This video hit over 5 million views on Facebook and (I believe) it's the first time he ever admitted on camera he had smoked marijuana.

Part of the work at More Perfect Union is to make uncomfortable realities digestible and easy to understand. I hosted this short explainer on an Iowa law that tried to rollback child labor laws so teens could work in dangerous conditions for just a little more profit.

During my time at Wirecutter I wrote, hosted, shot and edited over a hundred of short-form explainers for Instagram and TikTok. This video performed incredibly well, a simple instructional on how to “break in” an air mattress which got 5.3 million views on TikTok.

I don’t know if you remember Fidget Cubes but they tried to ride the wave of Fidget Spinner Mania in 2016. I edited this video of the Fidget Cube and how it works and it garnered 33 million views on Facebook, an all-time top performer for NowThis.

Host Reel

My favorite thing to do in this line of work is to host videos. I absolutely love being a part of explainers, breakdowns, think pieces or just silly-goofy pitches.

My reel showcases my journey as on-camera talent over many different shows and videos. If you’d like to see more or you’re looking for someone to host your social video content please don’t hesitate to reach out!
